The following document outlines the terms of use of the Playe platform. Before using any of our services, you are required to read, understand, and agree to these terms. The column on the right provides a short explanation and is not legally binding.

PLATFORM OVERVIEW
Playe provides a software platform that enables businesses to run customer engagement campaigns through skill-based games designed to reward customer participation and encourage repeat purchases. The platform includes dashboards, campaign configuration tools, reward wallet functionality, and reporting features. Businesses may configure campaigns based on minimum spend thresholds, participation rules, campaign duration, and reward allocation. All games delivered via Playe are skill-based, meaning outcomes are determined by measurable skill, performance, or completion of defined objectives rather than chance. Accordingly, campaigns are intended to operate outside the scope of regulated gambling activities. Businesses agree not to configure or promote campaigns in a manner that misrepresents gameplay as gambling or chance-based.

Playe is a platform that lets businesses create fun, skill-based games to engage and reward their customers. Everything is based on skill — not luck — so it's not gambling.
BUSINESS RESPONSIBILITIES
Businesses are solely responsible for the configuration, operation, and promotion of their campaigns. This includes ensuring that campaign rules are clear, accurate, and accessible to participants; that reward structures are properly described; and that campaign mechanics remain skill-based and fair. Businesses must ensure sufficient funds or allocations are available in their reward wallet prior to launching a campaign and throughout its duration. Playe provides wallet functionality to enable secure allocation, tracking, and distribution of rewards, including store credit and supported brand e-vouchers. While Playe provides the infrastructure for reward delivery, the Business remains responsible for ensuring reward availability and honoring campaign commitments.

You set up and run your own campaigns. Make sure the rules are clear, the games are fair, and you have enough rewards loaded before you launch.
COMPLIANCE & LEGAL OBLIGATIONS
Businesses agree to use the Playe platform only for lawful purposes and in compliance with all applicable laws and regulations, including consumer protection requirements and promotional marketing rules applicable within their jurisdiction. Businesses are responsible for ensuring their campaigns comply with any applicable local legal obligations beyond the skill-based nature of the games. Playe does not provide legal advice and makes no representation that use of the platform satisfies all regulatory obligations applicable to a Business's specific circumstances.

DATA & PRIVACY
Playe collects limited participant information necessary to operate campaigns and deliver rewards. Participants may engage with campaigns either by creating an account or by playing as a guest. Information collected may include email addresses and purchase information required to validate participation and deliver rewards. This information is processed solely for campaign functionality and reward fulfillment. Businesses agree that they will not use the Playe platform to collect unnecessary personal data and must ensure that any additional data they collect independently complies with applicable data protection laws.

We only collect the data needed to run campaigns and deliver rewards. Don't use Playe to harvest unnecessary personal information.
INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY
All intellectual property rights in the Playe platform, including but not limited to software, design, interfaces, trademarks, and underlying technology, remain the exclusive property of Playe. Businesses are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the platform for its intended purpose. Businesses may not copy, reproduce, reverse engineer, modify, distribute, or create derivative works based on the platform without prior written consent from Playe.

Everything about the Playe platform belongs to us. You can use it, but you can't copy, modify, or reverse-engineer it.
REPORTING & PERFORMANCE
Playe provides reporting tools and audit logs that allow Businesses to monitor participation, rewards issued, and campaign performance. While Playe strives to ensure platform reliability and accuracy, Businesses acknowledge that campaign performance, customer engagement, and revenue outcomes depend on multiple factors beyond Playe's control. Playe does not guarantee specific business results, customer behavior, or revenue outcomes resulting from platform use.

You get dashboards and reports to track how your campaigns are doing. We can't guarantee specific results — that depends on many factors beyond our control.
SUSPENSION & TERMINATION
Playe reserves the right to suspend, restrict, or terminate access to the platform if a Business violates these Terms, operates campaigns in a misleading or non-compliant manner, fails to maintain reward obligations, or engages in activity that may pose legal, operational, or reputational risk. Either party may terminate the business relationship with reasonable notice. Termination does not relieve the Business of obligations incurred prior to termination, including reward fulfillment and outstanding payments.
BASICALLY,
If you break the rules, we can suspend or close your account. Either side can end the relationship with notice, but you still owe any outstanding commitments.
LIMITATION OF LIABILITY
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Playe shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, or business losses arising from the use of the platform, including loss of revenue, loss of customers, reputational harm, or campaign performance outcomes. Businesses agree to indemnify and hold harmless Playe from any claims, damages, liabilities, or expenses arising from misuse of the platform, violation of applicable laws, breach of campaign rules, or failure to deliver rewards as promised.

We're not responsible for indirect losses like lost revenue. If something goes wrong because of how you used the platform, that's on you.
GOVERNING LAW
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising from or relating to these Terms shall first be addressed through good-faith negotiation between the parties. If a resolution cannot be reached, the courts of England and Wales shall have exclusive jurisdiction.

English law applies. If there's a dispute, let's talk it out first. If we can't agree, it goes to the courts of England and Wales.
CHANGES TO TERMS
Playe may update these Terms from time to time to reflect platform updates, legal requirements, or operational changes. Continued use of the platform following any updates constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
